Publication in ‘Nature': “Ploughing the deep-sea floor”

Researchers working on the GAP2 Mediterranean red shrimp case study in Palamos have published a letter in the international journal, ‘Nature’.

Focusing on bottom-trawl fishing on upper continental slopes, the letter describes research by GAP2 scientists, working at the Institut de Ciencias del Mar, which shows how this activity dramatically alters the morphology of the seabed over time.
