Work Packages

WP1 – Stakeholders role in research and governance

The objective of this Work Package is to improve engagement of research organisations, stakeholders and policymakers in order to promote and enhance stakeholder involvement in the research and governance of fisheries and the marine environment.

WP2 – Involving stakeholders in research

Work Package 2 aims at enabling worthwhile interaction between scientists and fisheries stakeholders. This will be achieved by ensuring that they work together on areas of research that are of mutual interest, engaging in shared learning activities and by integrating knowledge in ways that are useful to management.

WP3 – Making a difference

The aim of Work Package 3 is to establish and demonstrate concepts and mechanisms that will enable the uptake of participatory research knowledge and promote the application of stakeholder know-how to European policies on fisheries and the marine environment.

WP4 – Evaluating participatory research

The objective of this Work Package is to evaluate whether, when and how collaborative research can make a difference to practical knowledge and to management.

WP5 – Communicating with society

Work Package 5 has the goal of promoting the engagement of society with science and vice versa. This will be achieved by enabling effective communication and outreach actions. Furthermore, the Work Package will ensure that the principles of transparency and openness, as well as scientific quality and credibility, are adequately addressed in communications.

WP6 – Project co-ordination

The aim of Work Package 6 is to ensure the effective implementation and delivery of the GAP2 MMLAP (Mobilisation and Mutual Learning Action Plan) according to the description of work and consortium agreement. Additionally, it will monitor, evaluate and report on the Project’s progress and impacts.
