Executive Summary:
“This report described the outcomes of an independent review of the impact of GAP2. An external expert facilitated the review process on behalf of the Steering Group. GAP2’s management team compromising the WP leaders and coordinators, provided information for the review as defined in the Terms of Reference.
The review panel concluded that “GAP2 is doing extensive good work on how stakeholders, scientists and policy managers can work together to improve sustainability of fisheries and the marine environment” and went on to say “At the current stage of the project it is important to increase the impact on fisheries management by strengthening the link to policy managers and showing how the GAP2-method can work within the decision-making structures that exist”.
This report describes the findings of the review and the actions that are being taken by GAP2 partners to address them.
