GAP2’s Impact 30 Months In

GAP2 – a role model of Mobilisation and Mutual Learning Action Plans

Dr Steve Mackinson recently travelled to Brussels to welcome GAP2’s new European Commission Project Policy Officer, Mr Antonio Scarafino. Steve briefed Mr Scarafino and his colleagues on GAP2’s progress and impact so far, discussing how the project is shaping thinking on engaging society with science, and on embedding the principles of good governance.

On returning from the meeting, Steve reported that the GAP2 project is held in high regard as an example of Mobilisation and Mutual Learning in Action, with the Commission offering its support to help maximise the impact.

A first step will be to work with the Commission in planning a Brussels seminar involving the European Parliament, Commission, Member States and RACs in early 2014.
