The GAP2 Exchange: Europe & Canada

As GAP2 fishermen, scientists and policy makers travel around the world to learn more about successful collaboration, you can follow their progress by reading their blogs. And if you you want to get involved yourself – find out more the GAP2 Exchange here.

The Canadian Exchange

  • During May, 2013, GAP2 researchers and stakeholders travelled to ST. Andrews, Canada.
  • Among the delegation will be GAP2 researchers, Dr. Marloes Kraan, Dr. Saša Raicevich & Dr. Pablo Pita Orduna.
  • During March 2014, a return exchange took place with fishers and scientists from Canada visiting the GAP2 case study in the Netherlands.

Travelling with fishermen from their Case Studies to Canada. Marloes and Saša spent time with Canadian lobster fishermen, exchanging ideas about best-practices in fisheries, participatory research and how knowledge can be linked to policy.

In March 2014 Marloes and Saša will show the fishers and scientists they met in Canada around the Netherlands, and the Wadden Sea case study, sharing what they have learnt collectively.
