Kickoff Meeting, Planning

“Partners have been working on plans to implement cooperative work between scientist and fishery stakeholders coordinated across both the French and Spanish Indian Ocean tuna fleets”

Following the GAP2 kick-off meeting at which scientists from IRD (France) and from AZTI (Spain), and one member the stakeholder partners for this case study (ANABAC, the principal association of Spanish tuna purse seiners) attended, planning has been taking place to determine best strategies to approach and implement cooperative work between scientist and fishery stakeholders in a way that is coordinated across both the French and Spanish tuna fleets fishing in the Indian Ocean. An overview of issues being addressed is covered on the case-study page on the project website.
